Couple weeks ago we visit Venice in Italy. It was my first time but Frederik had been there before. We spent 5 days here and started our trip in Venice staying at lovely San Clemente Palace Kempinski. This is a beautiful hotel located on a private island of San Clemente, only minutes by boat from Piazza San Marco. Its very private with a big beautiful park. There are 3 restaurants, amazing pool area and tennis court, what else do you need?

We spent three lovely days here just hanging around and exploring our little own island. But after four days we wanted to spend some time in the city and get to know the real Venice so the last two days we checked in to a hotel located in the middle of the city, which was great but I realized that hotels in the city of Venice are very small and it gets very hot.

We didn’t do anything special except eating, exploring, walked around, shopped (just a little bit because its so freaking expensive in Venice!!!). Venice is so beautiful and I want to go back soon again but I next time in spring or fall never in summertime. There is so much to see, every little corner is beautiful. I highly recommend you to go visit Venice if you haven’t already.

Just keep in mind that is very expensive, don’t go there during the summer time, is very hot and if you have small kids I wouldn’t recommend you visit Venice since its quite difficult with the small streets and stairs everywhere can be a bit tricky with a baby stroller.

The Gritti Palace Hotel (more know as a Instagram hotel in Venice this year)  has a great view.

As I mentioned in previous blog post we spent one week in Marbella or actually our apartment was in Benahvis were we spent my brothers 30 birthday. We rented the most beautiful apartment with mountain view on one side and sea view on the other. This week flew by so fast and it was just so relaxing.  I think I wore makeup two times during this hole tripp, and it was just what I needed – to be ugly and not even care about it. We spent a lot of time in our calm area and our apartment since it was 10 minutes away from Puerto Banus and all the madness. hanging by the pool, playing football, exploring, walking around, eating, shopping, barbecuing, drinking sangria and had late night conversations. I was just so happy to have all the people I love the most with me.

This week was just about my brother and what he wanted to do. He got so spoiled with attention and gifts – I think he will remember this week for the rest of his life (at least we hope he will).

On Friday night we decided we would go to one of our favorites restaurant in Helsingborg – Kitchen & Table. When we first started dating we would visit this restaurant probably two times a week, but to be honest we haven’t been there for more then a year, it was time for us to go back.

This restaurant is placed in the middle of the city and I can’t honestly say we have not loved the food every time but there is something about the restaurant we really like, maybe is because we have some good memories from there I don’t know. This time the food was delicious, they had changed the menu since last time me were there. And I could get enought even if I wasn’t that hungry I simply could not stop eating.

I felt this desert looked better than it tasted, maybe I was so full I did dont enjoy it as I normally would do. I will give it another try next time.

They do not skimp on the gin, you get what you pay for. 

I would definitely recommend you to go here if you are in Helsingborg. They have a new gin bar so if you don’t want to eat but you still like gin you should definitely visit this place.

Colombe d’Or is a world famous  hotel and restaurant located in beautiful little village Saint Paul de Vence. This place is so historical and beautiful I don’t even think I can describe it but I will try.

We did not say at the hotel but we got the chance to have dinner one night at the beautiful restaurant. Since I love art this was a like a dream come true. It can be very difficult to get a table for dinner in summertime and since we only stayed for couple of days Frederik told me we couldn’t get a table it was all full booked. I was so disappointed. I honestly did not care about the food I just wanted to see the art since I have been reading about and I was so excited. But Frederik lied, he had booked a table for us and just wanted surprise me. We got a table outside in the beautiful garden and everything was just perfect it was so many beautiful details  and faraway from being rigid, just how I like it. The meny was handwritten in french with lots of colors and even if I don’t understand french and specially not when its handwritten I did not care. My thought was everything here must be good. And it was! Expensive but delicious and worth every penny.

“No, Im not leaving I want to stay here forever!”

I have been looking for this book so long and I knew they sold it at the restaurant but I wasn’t sure if they still had it. So when we got to our table this book was there. Frederik knew how much I wanted it and he wanted to surprise me AGAIN. Can you guess how happy I was? Believe it or not but I was crying and I still love this book and I take good care of it. Is not too expensive but good things don’t have to be expensive to be loved 🙂

If you are like me and like to have things planned in good time and love to have something to look forward to then the time has come for you start think about your summer vacation or perhaps you are just need a weekend to get away from your everyday life. We all know that the price is lower when you book your flight and hotel in time so don’t wait.

Last summer me and Frederik decided we wanted to visit South of France. We do that every year since Frederik has lived there and he loves it. But Frederik is not a planner he is very spontaneous and if he decides he wants to go somewhere he can be at the airport in 30 minutes and pay 5 times more for the ticket or the hotel. As you probably understand this does NOT work for me. I don’t want to pay 5 times more just because he can’t plan something in advance. And also want and need to know so that I have the time to wax my legs, clean my house, pack my outfits, wash my hair… you know everything that us girls need to do before a vacation.

Anyway, after checking the flights (last minute) we decided we could take our car and drive to South of France, since we were not in a hurry and did not know when we needed to return back home this sounded like a good plan. Although this probably cost us more we had such a good time and got to see so many beautiful places one of them was Saint-Paul-de-Vence.

Saint- Paul-de-Vence is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. This little village has it all; small shops, restaurants, galleries, beautiful nature and amazing views from every angle.

I highly recommend you to visit Saint-Paul-de-Vence. You wont get disappointed I can promise you that. Everyone we recommend this place to has been totally in love with it. If you go here I would not recommend you to stay longer then 4 days in summertime. It gets very hot, the village is very small and its very quiet. So for relaxation my opinion is that 3-4 days is enough.

I was thinking to write about the world famous restaurant La Colombe d`Or in this post as well, but I think I will save it for my next post since that place deserves to have attention on its own. I have so many pictures from the restaurants I would like to show you so stay tuned.
